4.1 Installing the LA-5033 PCI Adapter Driver and

Configuration Utility in Windows XP

Installing the LA-5033 driver in Windows XP requires the user to replace the Symbol LA-5033

driver provided by the Windows XP operating system with a newer version of the driver

downloaded from the Symbol Website.

If there is a version of the LA-5033 Symbol Wireless Networker 802.11 a/g Configuration Utility

and driver in the computer, remove them before installing the latest driver as downloaded from

the Symbol Website.

Select Start->Programs->Symbol Wireless Networker->Uninstall to remove the Configuration

Utility and driver simultaneously. The Windows Add/Remove Programs utility can also be used

to remove the Configuration Utility and driver.
